ASK THE LORD!
Josiah
was just eight years old when he became King of Judah. He woke up
one morning to be told by his Mother that his Father was dead and
that he, Josiah, was the new King. What a surprise for the little
lad.
Josiah decided to be a GOOD King. He chose to do what was right and to follow the LORD. He chose to be different from his Father and Grandfather, who had both been BAD Kings. We hope you will choose to be like Josiah, kids.
But is it easy to be GOOD and to do what is RIGHT? No, it is certainly NOT easy to be GOOD and to do what is RIGHT. In fact it is IMPOSSIBLE. That is why we NEED the LORD JESUS. Only, HE can make us GOOD and FORGIVE us when we are BAD.

Because he was only a wee boy, Josiah needed a lot of help to be King. Help from wise men and women. He needed help from the LORD most of all. You children are young and you need help from your parents and teachers. Most important of all, you need help from the LORD JESUS. Have you ever PRAYED to the Lord Jesus and ASKED His help?
You see children, you and I cannot be GOOD and do what is RIGHT by ourselves. Maybe you have tried to be completely GOOD for one day. You have tried not to tell a lie, or lose your temper or be selfish for just one day and usually it is IMPOSSIBLE. We find we just cannot be PERFECT, even for one day.
Well, this is why we need the Lord Jesus Christ. Only HE live a PERFECT life. He never SINNED or did anything BAD, not even ONCE. Whenever He died on the Cross for our sins, He gave up His PERFECT life for us. Now He is ALIVE for ever and ever and He can come and LIVE His perfect life inside us and make us PERFECT.
So if you want to be GOOD and to do what is RIGHT don't try to do it by yourself. ASK the Lord Jesus Christ, God's Son, to come into your LIFE and to begin to LIVE His perfect LIFE in YOU.
Hey kids, you don't have to be like everybody else. You can be like Josiah and be different. You can follow the Lord Jesus Christ.

PRAYER
"Dear Lord Jesus, I ask You to come into my life. Forgive all my sins. Start living Your GOOD and PERFECT life in me. I know I cannot be GOOD by myself. Give me Your GOOD heart. Amen."
What a wonderful God Jesus is!
